We divide the total fund assets

Currently, the pension fund manages fund assets. These assets will be distributed at the start of the new scheme to everyone with a pension entitlement or right with the pension fund. Social partners will make agreements on how to distribute the fund assets. The board of Pensioenfonds W+B will assess whether the agreements are balanced. ‘Balanced’ means that the agreements do not give certain groups a big advantage or disadvantage compared to other groups.

The pension you have accrued or are entitled to by December 31, 2026, we convert to a capital. This is the capital with which you basically start in the new scheme. Is there any money left over after this value has been allocated? Then we divide the remaining money according to the agreements made. On January 1, 2027, we will know how much money is in cash at that time and can be distributed in total.

Compensation

One of those agreements is that anyone expected to be adversely affected by the transition will receive compensation if they can. What the compensation will look like is detailed in the transition plan.
